Dear Parents,

I hope you are finding this blog helpful. Being that the end of the year is approaching, I would still love to hear what you've thought about it so far. I appreciate those of you who have commented already. Your input really helps me know how to best serve you.

This week, Wednesday specifically, we are starting the last unit of the year. I've just posted a calendar mapping out the next 4 weeks and am working on another page that includes all the details for the remainder of the year. You should be able to access everything before the end of this week. There aren't any homework assignments yet, but I am tweaking them to make sure they give your students the best practice possible.

This unit is the most challenging of the year because we will be learning to use two tenses at the same time that have very similar meanings. Please be advised that the best way for your students to be successful is to learn the conjugations of each tense really well and to know the key words that signal each of the tenses. I will be posting lots of study resources in the next day or two.

The unit assessment will be interpersonal. This means that they will be having a conversation with someone else in Spanish. They will discuss a trip and all that happened. We will be working day by day to learn all the pieces of this conversation to make sure they can perform on assessment day. It will be recorded as well. I will post the rubric in the DOCS section of the site so you can see the criteria I will use to grade them.

Please let me know if there is anything else you might have questions about. Have a great week!

Sra. Lenord
